This one might be the shortest blog I’ll ever do. Not because I didn’t have much time to write, which I did. I did not want to take much time writing about me. I was caught up thinking about God’s love: Agape.
When I think of this word. I think of a covenant. A promise. But I entered the covenant completely one-sided. God will love me unconditionally. No matter how much I make mistakes, no matter how many times I neglect my quiet time, He’s still there. He hears me when I cry. He answers my prayers. He catches me when I fall. He’s patient with my flaws. Yes, completely one-sided.
Me, me, me. Blah, blah, blah.
My thoughts were always about me, but never always about God.
The fact that He loves unconditionally and deeper than anyone is because He is unconditional. The cool thing about God is that through every circumstance, He remains the same.
This blog is short because an elaborative thought would just lead to more stories about me.
Stop. Reflect. Remember.
Think over your life, or maybe just the past few months, days, hours…think about His agape love. Not about how it’s unconditional in the midst of your imperfections, but how it is unconditional because He is perfect. Not about how it is unconditional because of who you are. It is unconditional because of everything He is.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
