Day two of the blogger challenge is here! This prompt is someone who fascinates you and why. Hmmm…
At risk of sounding too “christiany,” I’d have to admit that I’m really fascinated by Jesus. Hear me out. He was fully God AND fully man.
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Philippians 2: 5-8 ESV
Like…what does that even look like?
There are commonalities that are naturally given to us at birth that make us human. We all have a physical body. We also have a basic need for food and water. But what about the little things like…babies throwing food on their parents, for example. Would you consider that a sin? Real question: Did Jesus throw his food in Mary’s face?
PLUS, Jesus has siblings. If you grew up with siblings, then you know how some days are not so fun. Mind you, Jesus’ siblings were imperfect and probably did things to create trouble. “I dare you to…” I really wonder how Jesus responded to these moments.
Don’t worry! It’s on my list to ask Him when we meet face to face. The nature of His perfection and humanity intertwined is incredibly fascinating!
