Live. (Kinda sorta a continuation of my last post)
So what does it mean to live? To truly live life to the fullest. To wake up everyday giving all that you have because it could be your last. How do you do this?
I have no idea.
It’s an idea I often struggle with. So many days I wake up praying to just get through the day. “God, please help this day go by quickly and get me to 5 pm.” Or “God please give me a short week and even longer weekend.” I definitely find myself living for the weekends instead of making each day the best.
Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. James 4:14
I am facing the reality that I’m in a season of office work and 8 hours of my day will be devoted toward my employment. Whether I am at my dream job or not, how can I actually live in each day?
Like I mentioned, I don’t really know. But one thing that is helping me is pursuing my passions every single day outside of my 9-5 pm. Perhaps it’s taking a few hours each day working on a blog idea. Maybe it’s taking an online course. We have so many resources available that can fit our individual schedules. Whatever it may be, it’s up to me to make the choice to live out my day.
Do you have any suggestions? Seriously, I am open to any. Leave it in the comment section below. You may help others reading too. 🙂
Creatively.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1
As a Christian, I whole-heartedly believe that I can be creative because I stem from the ultimate Creator. The same God who created the universe also created me, enriched with passions and ideas. One of the major lessons that I have learned is that I must break through day-to-day frustrations to keep my creativity alive.
In my last post, At the Cross, I mentioned that when life doesn’t go my way, I no longer seek my personal interests. When the job weighs me down, I no longer create. But I’m learning (and it’s hard sometimes) to not let my emotions hinder me from being all that God created me to be.
I must live. And I can live creatively.
P.S. I will be hosting a giveaway on Instagram and announcing something new Thursday, October 25th and Friday, October 26th. Don’t miss it!

I think you are on your way to living creatively in the steps that you take outside of your job. I think learning new things about what you love to do or your craft can help. Exploring more and even taking time out from creating to just live can inspire you. Checking out an exhibition or a live concert. Trying a new recipe, etc all of those things can inspire you and help you live creatively. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t be the creative being I am. I know how I use to be when I could not because of a 12 hour stressful job that left me depleted and not to mention I developed am illness. All of it has worked to my good, and is still working to my good. I no longer have that job. I like meditation and mapping plans on what I want to do creatively when I have time. (Maybe even taking a minute on your break to review your creative plan can help).
