Yep in my white tee…LOL. Ok now that that is out of my system. This week’s tee has no script or written message. It’s just white. And because it’s just white, lies the hidden message. This isn’t another “5 steps to maintaining sexual purity post.” I am not going to necessarily dive into the life of sexual purity for the single Christian. There’s more than just waiting til marriage. I believe that you can’t be sexually pure without being spiritually pure. Anybody grow up with the annual purity talks? Every year we were sat down in Sunday school, elementary school…

Let’s start with the back on this one shall we. I mean, we already do right? So many visions and dreams of exaltation. Lord, please lift me up. Grant me favor. Enlarge my territory. *cue all of the Christianese lingo* I can admit as a believer that struggles with self-righteousness that I often begin here. I begin with the exaltation. I deserve to be praised and put on a pedestal. My sisters jokingly refer to me as Mary mother of Jesus. I do the very best that I can to walk in obedience to God. I attend church regularly and tithe.…

vibe vīb/ noun informal: a person’s emotional state or the atmosphere of a place as communicated to and felt by others. “a lot of moody people giving off bad vibes“ What vibe do you communicate with others? I’ve met so many people. Some with positive vibes, some with negative vibes, some with emotional vibes, some with stoic vibes, some with hater vibes, some with jealous vibes. People come with different vibes. So, what vibe do you communicate? I am definitely guilty of ignoring that one person with the ugly vibe who always calls with some drama that takes you through an emotional rollercoaster. Expecting…

Did you ever play Red Light, Green Light as a kid? We always played that game at recess. After a few tries, you learn very quickly that if you want to move forward and win, you have to listen closely. You can’t anticipate what you think will be said because you’ll lose. You can’t get cocky. You have to wait for the green light. If you moved ahead of time, you had to go back and start again which usually meant that your chances of losing increased because everyone was so far ahead. Just like in this game, in life, think…

QiBee and Te[a] Ok…pop quiz! Before you read any further, you need to answer both questions correctly. Is the struggle real? Yup! Has it ever not been? Do you have said struggle? Yup! Ha, I was born with it Now that we’ve established that the struggle is real and that everyone has it, we can continue. Define your struggle. Is it waking up everyday and going to a job that you absolutely hate? Is it going through the motions trying to find purpose in life? Is it feeling like a failure? Perhaps you’re pretending to be something that you’re not.…

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13 Have you ever searched for Jesus? Growing up I thought that Jesus could be found in a literal geographical location. I sincerely thought the Garden of Eden was hidden in the jungle somewhere and Jesus was there waiting for me to find him. We have already established my weirdness right? Cool. There have been so many times where I sought the Lord so that He could change instead of me. In my flesh and in my ignorance, I wanted the Lord to change…

It’s still Black History Month, right? Ok…just checking. Black History Month is one of my favorite months of the year. Growing up, we would always do the wax museum in school and learn about heroes like Garrett A. Morgan, Madam C.J. Walker, W.E.B. Dubois, and so many others. Movies like Our Friend Martin had me thinking I could time travel. We participated in Black History plays surrounding Rosa Parks, Ruby Bridges, Little Rock Nine and other pivotal moments. We memorized portions of Dr. King’s speech and poems by Langston Hughes. We learned Negro Spirituals in choir and the significance of the Underground…

Growing up, I was definitely a weird kid. When I was 10 years old, I collected hotel key cards. I would lock my door like it was a hotel room and use the hotel key card to slide it through the door cracks and unlock my room. Weird. When I was seven years old, I told my mom that I wanted a baby. I tried to convince her that I could take care of the baby. I would feed it and wash it daily. I thought babies came from the grocery store. I thought there was some glass room with…
